A love of his country and its storied history led Mahmoud Nawar to decide on his future calling at a young age. "Becoming a tour director was my dream since I was 12 years old," he explains.
"I've always wanted to share the magnificent history of my country with my guests -- and I love seeing them enjoy the great places we have in Egypt."

For Mahmoud, some of those great places include the great temple of Abu Simbel, sprawling Karnak temple, and the Valley of the Kings, "...because of the brilliant carvings and the still-vivid 3,500-year-old colors on the walls," says Mahmoud.
When not introducing travelers to the riches of Egypt, Mahmoud tends to his small business of raising bulls for meat -- and spends time with his three dogs.
