Perspectives on Small Group Travel
|
In this year’s final News & Views newsletter, we look back at treasured memories from the past 12 months, while also providing you with some useful advice – and inspiration – for your future travels.
We’re very excited to share our first annual “Year in Review” photo gallery, full of snapshots of guest travels, employee training trips, office events, company milestones, and much more – all from 2023.
Odysseys guests and trained chefs Dan and Kim Varano also have some memories (and recipes!) to share. You can read all about their recent Northern Italy tour in their Cruisin in the Kitchen newsletter, where they regale readers with tales of their journey through the Mediterranean coast, Tuscany, the Italian Alps, and such gems as Florence and Venice. After reading their descriptions of the delicious Italian cuisine they enjoyed, you may be inspired to pack up and head to Italy yourself!
Speaking of packing, it’s a topic that comes up frequently in our interactions with guests, who often wonder what exactly they should pack for their Odysseys tour. So, we’ve put together a comprehensive packing checklist with our recommendations for items that will help make your tour as comfortable as possible.
As for destinations, we invite you to consider the unexpected as we highlight four “off-the-beaten-path” tours to Central Asia, the Balkans, and Patagonia – all perfect locations to immerse yourself in culturally unique and naturally breathtaking surroundings.
Now, come reminisce over this past year – and dream of opportunities for the next – while enjoying our News & Views.
Sincerely,
Bruce A. Epstein President, Odysseys Unlimited

As this year comes to a close, we’d like to take a moment to look back on some of the moments that made 2023 special. We’ve collected photos and quotes from both guests and employees to highlight our favorite moments from this past year – like our 25th anniversary celebration in June, pictured above. At long last, it is here – our ultimate packing list for an Odysseys Unlimited tour! Our guests often ask us what to pack for their trip, so we put together this suggested list of both general necessities and specific items to bring on tour. And, we included a printable PDF checklist to make sure that you are fully prepared – and that you don’t forget anything!
