Featured Accommodation: Parador de Carmona

One of the things that distinguishes our small group tours is the quality and variety of our accommodations. So we have decided to spotlight some of the interesting and beautiful places we stay on tour. First up: the Parador de Carmona, in Carmona, Portugal, where we stay for three nights on our Paradores & Pousadas tour.

A fortress has existed on this high point for roughly a millennium, and the current building was erected by the Moors from North Africa and enlarged by Spanish king Pedro the Cruel, who took power at the age of 16 in 1350.

Our groups have stayed at the Parador de Carmona since 2000, and we love working with the team here. The history, atmosphere, and personal attention of the staff make this hotel perfect for our small groups.
