When you arrange your air travel through Odysseys, you can now customize your small group tour by choosing your own arrival and departure dates, reserving airport transfers, and staying extra nights at your tour’s first and final hotels. Below, we answer a few questions you may have about our new Flexible Travel Option program.
The Flexible Travel Option (FTO) program allows guests who book their air travel through Odysseys Unlimited to customize their travel experience in several ways. Air-inclusive guests may to take advantage of any or all of these benefits:
Arriving on tour early allows time to rest and rejuvenate from your travel, adjust to your destination’s time zone, and do some solo sightseeing before your tour begins. Similarly, extra days at the end of the tour allow you more time to sample the culture, cuisine, and history of the places you’ve come so far to see. And although these days are on your own, you’ll still be given the option to reserve airport transfers and hotel nights ahead of time to alleviate the logistics and leave you free to explore.
You can indicate your interest in the FTO program on our online reservations form, or simply call us toll-free at (888) 370-6765 and our Travel Counselors will be happy to assist you. When you reserve a tour with one of our Travel Counselors, you will be able to customize it with any of the FTO program’s benefits you wish. Please note that these options may not be available for every tour and departure—your Travel Counselor will be able to provide full details on program availability.
To take advantage of the benefits of the FTO program, there will be a one-time fee of $50 per person added to your reservation. Your Travel Counselor will advise you of pricing for your requested airport transfer(s) and hotel night(s) at the time of booking.
The FTO program will go into effect for tours departing in 2026, meaning that you can request FTO benefits today for any 2026 tour reservation.
Airport transfers for Land Only guests are not included in your tour price, and guests who wish to arrive before their scheduled tour begins, or extend after the tour ends, can continue to request extra hotel nights and airport transfers through Odysseys by contacting our Travel Counselors up to 30 days prior to departure. Note that these additional hotel nights and transfers may not be available on all tours.
