“Seeing no fear in the animals and joy in the people.” That’s what excites Isabel Ramos as she introduces her Odysseys guests to the Galapagos Islands and their resident fauna. “I love the adventure of exploring every day,” explains Isabel, “of seeing through the eyes of my guests. It always feels like the first time to be next to the giant tortoises or the baby sea lions.”

The mother of twins, Isabel savors being an ambassador for her country, from her hometown of Quito to the wilds of the Galapagos, and sharing Ecuador’s cultural and natural treasures. She considers herself especially fortunate to be able to experience the wildlife and landscapes of the Galapagos on a regular basis
As for being a tour director, Isabel enthuses, “After every trip, I have a group of new friends. And not many people can have a job where dreams come true.”
