While the pandemic took its toll throughout the world over the past year-plus, some people managed to find a few rays of sunshine in the darkness. One of them was longtime Odysseys Tour Director Oli Magnusson.

Said a reflective Oli: "A strange year is behind us. A whole summer season went by with no Odysseys groups coming over to explore Iceland with us. During that time, I did my own bit of travel and hiking, and had the opportunity to visit corners of Iceland that I hadn't seen for decades. Those hikes and wanderings helped me realize that sharing my appreciation for Iceland's nature and the country's heritage is something that I enjoy immensely and really missed."
